Get in touchSuzannah serves as Associate Managing Director for Witt O’Brien’s Community and Infrastructure Services practice. She has over 20 years of experience working in and with local, state, and federal agencies across emergency management mission areas including preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation.
Prior to joining Witt O’Brien’s, Suzannah served as Deputy Chief for Recovery and Mitigation for the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) where she oversaw over $20 billion in federal grant programs including FEMA’s Public Assistance and Hazard Mitigation programs, Fire Management Assistance Grants, COVID-19’s CARES Act and American Rescue Plan Act funding. Since 2011, she held multiple positions at TDEM, actively involved in the state’s response to 17 presidentially declared disasters. She came to TDEM from the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), where she worked in two different divisions, the National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center and Disaster Preparedness and Response/Texas Task Force 1. Her responsibilities included planning, training, and exercises as well as managing large projects in Texas and across the U.S.
